About the world we live in and life in general
Through acts of making, I examine consciousness and the experience of human existence. My creative practice is an embodied enquiry: the mind follows the body’s instructions, transported through memories, dreams and emotions to the imagination. This intuitive process determines my choice of visual structures and medium. There is no right way or wrong way. My work is an honest, internal response to the narratives and phenomena of the external world.
Key influences include the painters Dorothy Fratt and Hilma af Klint, sculptor Helen Martins, film-maker David Lynch, photographer Ansel Adams and the band Depeche Mode.
